​    After watching several videos on youtube about how popular daytime sword fishing had become we decided to give it a try.  Imagine how surprised we where that in our first drop at 1500 feet we felt our bait  beeing hit by something, for sure it was a mighty swordfish, unfortunately we couldn't hook him up. A couple of months later we finally caught our first sword weighting about 70 lbs. The year after we had better luck catching bigger swords in the 300-400 lb. range. We were able to determine that they live in our  area all year round, because every time since we went out fishing we had 2 or 3 bites. Due to our success, we decided to start chartering daytime swordfishing with our own experienced team as you can see in our youtube video. We also had the opportunity of releasing small swordfish many times because we care  a lot about the marine environment, also having them on video.

​    We use a 80 lb. Hooker Electric reel and a Daiwa MP 3000 electric reel for our sword fishing, which gives you the choice of reeling manually, all rigged up with spectra line. We are the first and only team in Cozumel to catch a swordfish during daytime and our technique has given us a great advantage over other experienced crews.
